AETF
European Championships, Tallinn, Estonia
The AETF European
TaeKwon-Do Championships
was held in
Tallinn, Estonia on the 19th to 21st October 2007.
Claire
Crosbie was crowned European champion after successfully
taking the
gold medal for senior female 4th degree patterns, defeating
fellow 4th degree females Amalia Kuleva (Bulgaria) in
round 1, Ekaterina Kumova (Russia) in the semi-final and
Radka Heyduskova (Czech Republic) in the final.
"I'd like to
say thank you to all my Taekwon-Do instructor, Senior Master
Hutchison, for working with me on my training and fitness
and providing me with the support and encouragement on
reaching my goal of being European champion".

UKTA English Championships, Crawley, England
Claire Crosbie attended the English Open Championships
held in Crawley, England on the 29th September 2007
winning a silver medal in the senior female patterns
category.

UKTA Welsh Championships, Cardiff, Wales
Claire Crosbie attended the Welsh Open Championships
held in Cardiff, Wales
on the 2nd June 2007. At this event she won bronze
in the female under 57kg sparring and a bronze in
the 4th degree male/female patterns section.

ITF World
Championships, Bled, Slovenia
The 15th ITF
World Senior Championships was held in Slovenia in April
2007. Claire Crosbie attended both the umpires
technical seminar and the
championships as Scotland's
umpiring representative.

4th Sun Open Tournament, Polzela, Slovenia
The "4th Sun Open" tournament
was held in
Slovenia on 11 March 2007. Claire Crosbie attended this
event as a competitor taking the gold
medal in the female patterns section and a silver medal for the
under 57kg sparring event, beating Slovenian opposition on both
occasions.
The tournament was attended by competitors from
Croatia, Serbia, Boznia, Poland and by Claire who was the sole
representative from Scotland.
"I would like to thank the
Slovenian organising committee and their representatives who
made sure my stay in Polzela was a welcome one".

UKTC Professor Chang Ung Cup, Edinburgh, Scotland
The "Professor Chang Ung Cup"
was held at the Meadowbank Sports Centre in
Edinburgh on 18 February 2007. At this International
competition Claire Crosbie
won Gold in the 3rd / 4th Degree Patterns event.

Cup of Peter the Great, St Petersburg, Russia
The "Cup of Peter the Great" competition
was held in St
Petersburg, Russia on 9th and 10th December 2006.

The
event was attended by over 300 black belt competitors from 14
European countries, including Claire Crosbie who was the sole
representative from Scotland.
"After a draw against the Ukraine in
the under 57kg sparring I lost out narrowly in the extra time
decider. In patterns my defeat came against a Russian
competitor. Overall, I was pleased with my performance and
I took a lot from the experience. I would like to
thank the Russian organising committee and their representatives
who made sure my stay in St Petersburg was a welcome one".

The UKTA British Championship was
held at the Ponds Forge International Sports Centre in Sheffield
on 18 November 2006. Claire Crosbie attended this event
winning gold for patterns and
