SPARRING COMPETITION

A team sparring competition will be held at the Raigmore Community Centre on Saturday 13 November 2010.

SQUAD TRAINING

Squad training on Saturday 18 September 2010 has been extended and will start at 9:30am and end at 12:00pm.

INSHES CLASS - WEDNESDAY 15 SEPTEMBER 2010

Please note our class at Inshes will be closed on Wednesday 15 September.

OCTOBER SEMINARS - SATURDAY 2 OCTOBER 2010

Two seminars have been scheduled for the Raigmore Community Centre on 2 October 2010.  These are as follows:

• Self-defence seminar 9:30am till 12:00pm

• Sparring seminar 12:30pm till 3:00pm

Application forms have now been issued and must be returned on or before Wednesday 22 September 2010.

BITF INSTRUCTORS COURSE, WINDSOR

An Instructors Course held by the British Isles TaeKwon-Do Federation has been scheduled for the 11th and 12th September 2010 in Windsor, England.  All red and black belt members are requested to attend.

Our first inter-school competition was held at the Raigmore Community Centre on Saturday 24 July.  Well done to everyone who attended, on show were over 70 very competitive rounds of patterns.  Congratulations to the following medal winners:

ITF SEMINAR AND GRADING - NORTH KESSOCK 3 JULY 2010

We would like to thank Senior Master Hutchison, 8th Degree for holding a seminar and grading at the North Kessock Community Hall on Saturday 3rd July 2010. 

Congratulations to the 30 students who successfully graded. The results were as follows:

• Promoted to 9th kup yellow tag: Emma Grady ("A" pass), Luke Grady, Mia MacLachlan, Taylor Stuart, Lia Wilson, and Kyle Dean.

• Promoted to 8th kup yellow belt: Adam McArthur, Hannah Laditi, Matthew Hawes, Leah Petrie ("A" pass), Conor Fisher, Omar Abou Aichi and Lewis Heenan.

• Promoted to 7 kup green tag: Ben MacLachlan, Abbey Ross, Kian Lasota, Lewis McGorm, Rheanna McGorm, Martin Patience, Myrrh Oliver and Emmanuel Laditi.

• Promoted to 6th kup green belt: Ian Graham and Alasdair MacDonald.

ITF PRESIDENTS CUP, EDINBURGH

The ITF Presidents Cup was held at the Meadowbank Sports Centre, Edinburgh on 23 May 2010.

Congratulations to Lewis Searles who won the silver medal in the green belt patterns category.  Pictured right - Master Stokhoff from Holland presented Lewis with his medal.

Well done to students Matthew and Liam Ross and Ross Balfour who also competed in the green belt section but narrowly missed out on the medal positions on this occasion.

CANCER RESEARCH UK - RACE FOR LIFE, INVERNESS

Congratulations to the TKD Ladies team who completed the Inverness Race for Life.  Students and family members took part in the 5km race to help raise funds for Cancer Research UK.

SCOTTISH OPEN CHAMPIONSHIPS 2010

Congratulations to all students who attended the Scottish Open Championships at the Bellahouston Leisure Centre, Glasgow on 17 April 2010.  A total of eight medals were won in the sparring and patterns categories.  Well done to everyone who attended on the day, especially those who were competing for the first time.

NEW CLUB MEMBER

I would like to introduce our latest member joining our TaeKwon-Do club.

Alena Stirling was born on the 22 December 2009.
